I couldn’t be more excited! Only a few days left to enter the sky. This summer I am traveling to Bali for you! I gonna test the modern Yoga paradise on its authenticity. Next Tuesday I’ll pick my flight to the Indonesian island. My research for Yoga in Bali begins.
Why am I going to Bali?
Yoga, Yoga Yoga…what else. After one year of teaching classes I am ready to receive. I am truly yearning for yoga as a student. After one year of setting up my lifestyle as a digital yoga nomad, I am on my way. And it feels fucking good. Now I am ready for some inner reflection and yogic practice. So at the end of my stay I gonna return inwards on a personal yoga retreat. But before I am on a mission…better said two…
Mission #1: Provide true Yoga experiences all over the world!
Of course I am on a Yoga Can Do mission: I want to know where the authentic Yoga is! On Yoga Can Do we follow a vision of yoga. Yoga as a lifestyle, as an every day practice. Yoga is everywhere and in everything. It has a healing power and transformational potential. You want a practice, which offers you to experience everything yoga can do. First destination: Bali. Where do we find this complete Yoga in Bali? This is the big question.
I want to find out for you:
- Can we experience authentic Yoga in Bali, with the vision of Yoga Can Do?
- Or is it more a big fashion? A practice that matches the independent western nomad lifestyle, working in paradise, living freedom?
- What is true about Bali’s special spiritual energy so many people are talking about?
- I want to know!! I want to find out for YOU!
Yoga in Bali? What’s real about it? I gonna meet the Yoga Community, teachers, practitioners, places…
4 weeks I will be traveling to different spots in Bali. I attend different yoga centers and talk to their teams and founders. At the end of my journey I will put everything together in publishing the first “Yoga Guide for Bali”!
Mission #2: yoga-can-do.com theme summer “Yoga & Travel”
Yoga is global! Yoga is viral. Yoga is everywhere!
On yoga-can-do.com and my social channels during the whole summer you will get plenty of content about Yoga and Travel. So what can you expect?
- Meet global Yogis (Do you know our Yogi of the month?)
- Interviews with traveling yoga teachers
- Articles about Yoga and Travel
- FREE Online Course: “How to become a traveling yoga teacher”
- Bali Diary on Facebook: Be LIVE with me in Bali!
- Insta Stories: Wanna know where I currently am in Bali? For 24h you can exactly see where I am and what I do today! Don’t miss that!
- Upcoming youtube channel! Hell YEAH! I will do it! Even though I like to be behind the camera, I leave my comfort zone for you. I open a youtube channel with free classes, yoga videos and Interviews! Eyes open to get the launch (probably around august)
Which places do I visit?
First place to visit will be Desa Seni in Canggu! They invited me to stay for two nights to offer YOU a real experience to tell! I am sure I will get a real roundabout view of their yoga and people!
After this first invitation, there are more Yoga places to visit. Most of them in Canggu and Ubud. But I am reaching out as well to smaller places all over the island.
Here are a few places of my list:
- Desa Seni (Canggu)
- Samadi (Canggu)
- The Practice (Canggu)
- Yogabarn (Ubud)
- Intuitive Flow (Ubud)
- Yoga House Ubud
Do you have a favorite place of Yoga in Bali you want me to feature?
Write it in the comments! I am very happy to know about your preferences and research for you directly in Bali.
Where do I stay during my trip?
I love the local experience and need my private room to recharge my batteries. Usually solo travelers stay in hostels. They share room to keep their budget low. But as a digital yoga nomad I work and travel long time. So getting bad sleep in a 6-bed dorm is not a sustainable solution. My yogic attitude towards my self tells me: good rest and self care are more important than saving a few bugs. That’s why I prefer to have my own room, good wifi, access to a kitchen where I can prepare my own healthy breakfast respecting my diet. That’s why I love Airbnb. And also in Bali I will travel with it.
Sometimes I also stay at usual hostels or hotels. Then I use booking.com. It’s by far the most flexible booking platform. For Bali I used it a few times as well. Especially because of the free cancellation policy.
